Start Your Adventure and reach Shimla
To reach Shimla from Delhi, you can take a flight to Shimla's Jubbarhatti Airport or opt for a train to Kalka, followed by the scenic Kalka-Shimla toy train. Alternatively, you can drive or take a bus, covering the approximately 342 km journey in around 7-8 hours via NH44 and NH5, enjoying beautiful mountain views along the way. Each mode of transport offers a unique experience, with varying travel times and scenic routes.
Day 2: Sangla

Start your journey from Shimla, driving through scenic landscapes to reach Sangla, a beautiful valley known for its apple orchards and stunning views of the Baspa River.


SANGLA
Narrow Stretches And Sharp Bends
The roads to Sangla in Himachal Pradesh are a mix of well-maintained and challenging mountain routes. The journey offers spectacular views but includes narrow stretches and sharp bends, especially beyond Karcham. The route from Shimla to Sangla is approximately 225 km and typically takes about 8-10 hours by car. It's advisable to travel during daylight and be cautious of landslides and weather conditions. Despite the challenging terrain, the scenic beauty of the Baspa Valley makes the drive worthwhile.
Day 3: Nako
Sangla - Rakcham - Chitkul - Nako
Explore the picturesque village of Rakcham, visit Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border, and then proceed to Nako, famous for its serene lake and ancient monastery.

Known for its serene Nako Lake, the village offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. Key attractions include the ancient Nako Monastery and the numerous chortens (Buddhist stupas) scattered throughout the village. Day 4: Kaza
Nako - Giu - Tabo - Kaza
Drive from Nako to Kaza, stopping at Giu to see the famous mummy of a monk, and visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, often called the "Ajanta of the Himalayas."

Kaza is the sub-divisional headquarters of the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters. Hikkim, located in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, is famous for having the world's highest post office, situated at an altitude of 4,440 meters. This small village offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a unique glimpse into high-altitude rural life. Visitors can send postcards from this remote post office, making for a memorable experience. The village is also near the ancient monastery of Komic, adding to its cultural significance.
Day 6: Kaza
Kaza - Dhankar - Pin Valley - Chicham - Kaza
